Innovation Corps (I-Corps) is a nationwide, NSF-funded network formed to accelerate the economic impact of funded research. Centered around the blossoming New York City innovation ecosystem, a consortium of 11 leading research Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) in the greater metropolitan area make up the New York NSF I-Corps Hub with The City University of New York (CUNY) as the Hub's principal lead institution.
The NY I-Corps Hub delivers its mission of providing entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and resources to enable researchers to form startup companies that translate laboratory discoveries into breakthrough products and services. With the Hub, the NYC Innovation Hot Spot co-hosts seasonal ‘entrepreneurial-training bootcamps’ using the principles of Lean LaunchPad Methodology to understand the needs of potential customers through business-model exploration. Virtual and in-person training is offered at all 11 Hub Partner Institutions.
